Prevention is more cost-effective than repair. Referring to Jiangsu Leiting's high reliability standards in industrial automation systems, the following are best practices for daily maintenance:
Method: At regular intervals (e.g., monthly or quarterly), flush the inside of the valve with clean water or a suitable cleaning solution.
Purpose: To remove residual particles, scale, or chemical deposits, preventing their accumulation inside the valve and causing blockage.
Method: Regularly apply a small amount of rust-preventive lubricant (such as white oil or silicone grease) to the metal threaded portion of the valve stem.
Purpose: To prevent metal parts from rusting or corroding, and to maintain smooth valve stem rotation, especially in humid or high-temperature environments.
Method: Every so often (e.g., every six months), open the valve and visually inspect the sealing surface for scratches, cracks, or foreign objects.
Purpose: If wear is found on the sealing surface, replace the seals or the valve promptly to prevent leakage or secondary contamination caused by jamming.
